Is the basics skills needed to have a decent team these day rocket science?..

...Chris Coleman on Goals on Sunday talked about the following:

1. The biggest teams now only play with one out and out attacker.

2. The second attacker sits inside the 'pocket' of midfield and centre forward.

3. When team breaks up attack and possession is gained, the midfield floods forward, along with pocket attacker to supply support to lone front person.

4. When a team doesn't have possession of the ball, you get 9 behind it, initially mainly packing out the midfield, thus it's harder for the opposition to play thru you.

Arguments about our lack of midfield and defensive short comings aside, all of the above must be achievable to most of our players and pretty much common knowledge in tactic footy world, why don't we do it? It surely can't be that f**king taxing, theses people play footy day in and day out - it's their job FFS...

It just seems too logical not to do it...
