I used to love a chip butty from the F&C shop that was sort of towards...

...Dover St from the Avenues/Park Lane end...you could see it on the corner down whatever that road was from Avenues...they were the first chip shop to introduce me to crispy bits, which wasn't, I promise, something sexualist...

It's probably long gone now as I'm talking a good 15/20 years ago but 6p a portion of chips and crispy bits was a deal as far as I was concerned...

I can remember when it were all fields around there...
