it wasn't until I started complimenting occasional running and swimming with 2 really really good sessions of weights a week that the weight started to go down again. And that's despite the muscle-weighs-more-than-fat thing.

I do hour-long weights classes, twice a week at the gym, where it's all about low-medium weight, but lots and lots of repetitions - you don't pack on lots of big muscle mass, but what you have becomes denser and more toned.

The reason I do instructor-led classes is because there's few motivations as good as having a scary ex-paratrooper shouting at you not to give up.
