It's changed a lot by the consequences too.

If Henry had handballed in the way he did and:

a) The referee/linesman saw it and stopped the game
b) Given saved from Gallas or it was cleared off the line
c) The cross went nowhere
d) Something else stopped a goal being given

No-one would remember it for longer than a few minutes.
