Saw it too with Nasie Jr.

He thought it was the best film he'd ever seen in his entire life.

SFX/CGI were very impressive, but not when it tries to make up for a very weak story. It lacked real tension because you don't actually give a goose's egg for any of the characters.

Much preferred The Day After Tomorrow.
