OTBC is claimed to be one of the, if not the, oldest football song around.
I don't want it tampered with, sung incorrectly - and like to highlight to people who aren't aware that the correct way does not include "it". The fact that you dont think it scans well at all with "it" in it is one of the quirky endering aspects about it. It's an oddball song, but it's ours an should be sung correctly in my view.
Others may not agree - so be it, to each their own.
