Can I ask the Wrath a technical question? Hope someone can help ...!

I have a pile of printed word documents but I dont have the original .doc file.

I have been tasked to type this all up (50 pages +) back into an editable word document.

is there a way of scanning in a document and then using some OCR software to allow me to buid up the new document like that? I know something like that used to exist but i have been out of loop for a while.

oh, one more thing, I aint got the cash to buy this piece of software (whatever it is) so would be looking for some freeware (or warez!)

Can anyone offer any advice?
