Yes and no.

I plugged my iFoon into one of those types of things with the intention of simply charging it (I can do that with the s**tty one I've got) but it didn't work. It could play the audio through the device, but when I docked it a little window popped open saying "Charging is not compatible with this device". However, as I say, I can charge it fine with my little one at home.

The other consideration is that if the speakers in that thing are not magnetically shielded, then every time your iFoon polls the network, you're going to get that dee-de-de-de-dee-dee-dee thing you often hear when foons are near speakers. And on my little docking speaker thing, regardless of how low the volume is turned, the noise of the interference comes through at top whack. That hut me lugs.

You can get round that by putting the iFoon into "aircraft" mode, but then you're not going to get calls/texts etc.
