You already know this, but I'm going to say it anyway.

These things are written, deliberately, to be as inclusive as possible, and to convince absolutely everyone who reads it "god, that me!".

Ever seen that Derren Brown thing where he takes bunch of people in a room and hands them all a "tailored and personal" description of them, and they all read it say "Yep, that's me, spot on"? Then they all swap descriptions and discover that everyone's got identical "tailored and personal" descriptions.

Same thing. It's very cleverly done (or very dumbly parroted), but it's a trick.
