Tech Help Required Please.......

I can't connect to the internet on my laptop through our wireless connection, it says that I'm connected to our connection but this is 'local only' and wont let me on the internet.

The other laptops in the house are fine, plus we've been through everything with Sky, had a new router sent out etc, and it seems the problem is purely with my laptop.

I've been through disabling firewalls, uninstalling connections etc and to no avail, and I've just spoken to PC World but they were no help whatsoever as I didn't have one of their extorionately (sp) priced service agreement things.

Can anyone advise what the problem is / who can fix it etc, preferably at as little expense as possible?
