You can leave your car open all day a and nobody will steal anything from you.

The local paper has a "weekly" police report blotter which includes people losing their credit cards and later discovering they left them at their house.

The other irony is that a mere 120 miles away is probably one of the most dangerous places in the US.

Walk around at night and robbery is fairly certain and death a realistic possibility.
