I am but this week has been dreadful at work. After the announcment, the Union reps...

had a go at the management, the management then denied all knowledge of all changes until Wednesday (the day of the announcement) which had to be a lie unless they composed all the presentations and people coming from London over night. The management then told the union they couldn't speak with members on the premises until 4 o'clock so everyone had to stand in the rain. The union threatened to stage a walk out, which would have taken 84% of staff off the premises (which I disagreed with) and therefore we would have had melt-down for 14 minutes. 14 minutes only because after that they can technically give all those involved a written warning. Anyway, the business is changing and it's all so cloak and dagger and done in such a nasty way. Why don't the powers that be just be honest and work with they're employees and it could have all been dealt with. And this is Public Service!! It's such a mess when a bit of decency and honesty might have saved all what's happened this week and what's to come. :(
