that a lot of it is about immigration. And in the end *is* a signal that people want the other parties to be "tougher" on immigration, which probably means being "tougher" on immigration.

But that makes it a signal that the other parties should move towards the BNP on this, rather than just a more general protest, in which the BNP's views are irrelevant. Which I find depressing.
