I think the hole he dug himself was deep enough

All he wanted to say was 'that's not true', 'I didn't say that' and then start some utter nonsense that DD HAD to cut him short on for all our sanities. Amongst the heckles and abuse there was some very good arguments put at him by both the panel and some of the audience.
