All this talk about Gunn/Lambert

It was decided well before we lost 1-7 to Colchester that Gunn would be replaced. McNally already had his man, Lambert, in mind and Gunn knew he would be replaced as soon as results didnt go his way.

The defeat on the opening day to LAMBERT's Colchester gave McNally the perfect reasoning to go ahead with what he wanted to do at the club and appoint Lambert.

The timing was a bit strange but insignificant; after the Colchester defeat, McNally had time and space and reason to present his feelings to the board and get them ready to make an approach to Lambert on the Saturday (the day of the game v Exeter)....but in all honesty Lambert has been in-line since McNally's appointment.

Anyway, it seems to me Lambert and his team are working the club hard from the first team down to the academy. It seems totally fresh, and credit must be given to the new managerial set-up (Lambert, Culverhouse, Crook, Karsa and Ricky Martin) for the way the whole structure of the club seems to have come together. Well Done team Lambert and well done McNally....so far!
