Its more a question really. Is it just the slavery aspect and all that follows

that should drive us to erradicate racism?

Or is the fact this occured by people using skin colour to judge a persons value, and therefore treat them horrifically.

I think i'm saying that slavery is not something we should still be 'apologising for' as such.
What we should be doing is ensuring that culture is stamped out, that all are judged equally regardless.

Which would still add up to the same thing in many ways, but those that feel they are 'still apologising' are missing the point.
Its not about that, its about treating people of all ethnic backgrounds with the same respect.
