First redundancies at work today

my job is safe, but some poor bastard who I recruited to my team and who started on Monday was told he could come back next week.

To say I'm slightly pissed off would be an understatement so I cant begin to imagine how he feels.

The Client services director called me in to tell me and then promptly called this fella in afterwards, I couldnt bare to look him in the eye so left and came home.

Not pleasant
