David Beckham didn't get good at free-kicks by running around - he did it by practicing them.

That reminds me. Went to Colney last year for one of the academy games and noticed one of those artificial player walls that are used for practicing free kicks - thought it was funny that it was kind of lying behind a hedge looking very unused (that could of course be just where they keep it!)

I'll have to go to see them training to see what they actually do because this is all speculation but it just doesn't seem like they do much ballwork from what you see on the pitch.
