but you did write of McNally:
?oversaw the putting together of a 'squad'"
?clearly didn't like what he saw in pre-season.. and after witnessing the opening day debacle decided enough was enough.?
? ... a man who had worked with some of the best in the game (notably Martin O'Neill).?
?...took the first truly professional action regarding team management made at Norwich City since the removal of Nigel Worthington?.
My point is that McNally has only marginally more footballing knowledge than Andy Cullen or Neil Doncaster, and his appointment of Lambert has to be tempered with that of Sanchez for Fulham.
And lastly, those "stupid 'family values" of promoting from within gave us Brown, Stringer, Walker & Worthington (that's three pieces of silverware, 2 appearances in the FA Cup semi-finals, and 3rd, 4th & 5th-placed finishes in the top flight).
We poached Peter Grant too, fat lot of good it did us.
