a sensible answer

based on guesswork (& GIYLF)

Boundary Park was where Norwich greyhounds ran (Clement Freud used to go there for a night out!), and Ginger Sadd fought there (he wuz a good ol bor, GIYLF)

1) Mile Cross estate was built in the mid 20s, so it can't be south of the ring road

2) There is a electric substation known as Boundary Park, just to the north of the ring road and west of Reepham Road.

So (agree with double hip & drdublin) it was probably on the north side of the ring road, near where the Sally Army have their charity shop now (between Reepham Rd and the 'beeandcoo').
