The forwards however should hang their heads in shame. How many shots were blazed over the bar? How many were hit weakly at the keeper?

Interesting to read criticisms of the substitution earlier. I agree it came too late but at least Worthington was being attack minded by putting Doherty on so that we could play 3 at the back by moving Charlton up to midfield. Should really have brought McVeigh in to replace Charlton at the same time as bringing Doherty on though.

I am really starting to become more convinced by many of the Worthington out arguments, however the blame for today in my opinion has to go to Ashton and McKenzie rather than Worthington. Yes he should have acted sooner with the subs but Worthington is not in control of the strikers feet is he?
