Gunn would have had to have been really s**tty to fail to bring in any talent of note. The jury's still out on Gill and Tudor-Jones, Whalley looks rubbish (although his record suggests he should be a good player in L1). Those 3 alone should be making an impression on the team, although their current injuries are not helping. They might look better coming into a settled team, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of them turn out to be Jason Jarrett in disguise.

Holt is a great player, but I'd guess that he was one of the most expensive signings in the division. Askou is good, Maric appears to be w**k though.

Gunn wasn't a complete liability in the transfer market, but all the credit should go to Lambert for making the team play well, without any of his own players.
