Search for a dell, with the miminum of the following, costing about ?350

2gb ram
160gb Hard Drive
Dual Core Processor (all of them will have this, and a minimum of 160gb hard drive really, Just make sure the one you get has a miminum of 2gb ram minimum)

Save the other ?50 in case you want to purchase microsoft office later

Whatever pc you get will have microsoft on a 60 day trial, unless you can find a deal with it on

Refurb lap tops shouldn't be problem, as long as the warranty is good
