Just looking through our squad at the moment, I think it is really great to see youth given a chance...by both Gunn and Lambert really. I think the players will learn far more from Lambert.
Smith is the one who is really catching the eye; seems far more mature than 18 and I think the more he plays, we will see him stamp his authority on games more. His age isn't an issue as he seems fit and to have great stamina. Adeyemi is obviously a talent too; he needs to beef up a little and themn he will look awesome and be a little more imposing - in the Vieira mould in terms of stature. He has played well when I have seen him anda again should get better with experience.
I would like to see less criticism of Daley. He has only played a handful of matches and looking at interview on official site suggests he has confidence in his ability to improve. He does look fast and naturally plays up front so lets give him space and time to improve. Martin and Spillane are also important squad members this season; in fact Martin has looked great when I have seen him play and it was a bit of a mystery as to why he was dropped last weekend (I guess with Hoolahan, formations etc might be tough).
It also seems we have one or two youngsters just around the squad getting matchday experience such as Stephens etc and I hear promising things about the likes of Kelly, Francomb, Dawkin...plus the two keepers of course.
It is nice, I must say for it to feel like Norwich City Football Club again. Even though we are in League One (which is awful) it might prove good in the long run if it gives our own youngsters a chance to develeop into something better.
