Orangutans look sad because they have fewer facial muscles than other primates and therefore can't express themselves through their face.

They are also fascinated by hooman flesh, particularly belly buttons, which is why when ladies in crop-tops go to zoos in the summer, they can be seen to get quite excited (the orangutan, not the ladies).
