But, I know what you mean. Each generation standing on the shoulders of the last and all that. Shouldn't laugh at this but me and my eldest were round the in-laws the other day talking about going to "London" and all that and the father in-law came out with this....

"Did you go on the M25?"
"No, went straight through the centre"
"Oh, I remember years ago, ...(pause)..... going through the old east end, (pause for a bit) ....full of Indians.... (pause for a bit longer) ....Worse than the Wogs you know!"

We laughed like drains all the way home.

Mrs was duly mortified.
