Lad left here to join the Manchester Old Bill couple of years ago.

He was off duty one day, apparently (his Dad told us this - his Dad worked here up to a couple of months ago) and driving along when he had a car flash him, and then he noticed a speed trap a bit down the road. So he does an abrupt about-turn, catches up with the car that flashed him, pulls it over, flashes his warrant card and writes the driver a ?30 ticket.

Some coppers just give the rest a bad name.

So be warned, if you are a flasher, some coppers are anal enough to nick you for it.
