Interesting, BUT...

"guardian.co.uk, Thursday 29 May 2003" so WELL out of date, plus it uses population stats from 2001 etc so even worse.

Plus I did just say cities as otherwise it's a whole minefield of this that and the other town - where do you bloody end? kind of business - plus being labelled a city gives you more status (and there's fewer of them) so it's then more interesting if you don't have a league team.
