(I know there was 3 but Nelson was a straight swap, I don't feel that change in player affected us much, although it did remove Lamberts last chance to change it on tactical grounds).
We are short in the middle of the park as it is with injuries.
Hughes is our only realy fit CM with experience at the minute.
With Daley and Martin making up the wide part of the 5, with smith in there already I can see why lambert didn't want to put another 17 year old on.
Problem is Mcveigh can't do the job hughes was. He can't run, has no prescence and can't tackle.
Then with Drury going off, we had to shift our only other real experience to full back, meaning we were left with a midfield 5 that contained 3 17 years olds, a 21 year old, and McSmall. As good as these lads are, that's too many of them together for me.
With MK playing 5 in the middle it was always going to be the key area of the game, and its those changes that cost us. We had to stay tight, to hurry them, and keep forcing them to turn the ball over. In the end we jsut couldn't keep that going.
We badly need one of Gill, Tent Pole and Rusty to get fit, get form, and get back in the side.
