I reckon a lot depends on the quality of the degree he's doing and how well you think he's

likely to do.

You'd be mad to let him get up s**t creek if at the end of the whole process he's going to get a third-class degree in media f**king studies.

But if he's a smart kid, doesn't mind a bit of hard work, and is doing a quality degree, he might be better off being allowed to get on with it.
