on the back of the dreadful 'stephen fry in america'. He has now made an even worse programme, purportedly showcasing the plight of endangered species, but it actually came across as him being a very spoiled human being indeed on a conscience salving guilt trip who spent 90% of the time moaning about *his* deprivations and tribulations. He added no colour to the documentary that the viewer could not glean themself from the blatantly obvious things depicted on film.
To be fair, the programme made on his life as a manic depressive was excellent but, he really has taken to dabbling now in areas that are well stocked with much better qualified, enthusiastic and thus infinitely more interesting people (he really cares neither for animals or americans). The entire USA in 6 episodes?
He ought to find a more appropriate vehicle to showcase his prodigious intellect and wit or stick to QI, twittering, writing novels, panel shows and expounding the brilliance of Oscar Wilde. More than enough to showcase his intellect I would imagine.
