They are not really playing 'together' now are they?
Gerrard is off on the left.
Its Frank and Barry in the middle.

THat solves the 'which of us pushes on' problem that the two of them did (and do) have.
Barry sits, so Lampard can push on, like he does for chelsea, so he's know playing like he does for Chelsea.

Gerrard has struggled on the left before though, this didn't work last time it was tried.
It works now becuase of Heskey.
Heskey stops Rooney having to try to play as a target man, it lets him wander.
As such he pops up on the left, giving gerrard licence to come inside. Which benefits him.
