necessarily agree with that...
to blame hucks for the first goal when his first function is to attack and we're caught on the break is a disgrace. i'd rather blame it on the two centre backs, neither of whom came out to meet the onrushing midfielder in the centre of the pitch, both choosing to remain back and mark phillips. or blame drury, who DID at least the man with the ball down only to leave oakley with the freedom of the right wing.
having played wide midfield quite a lot over the years it's the toughest position on the pitch in terms of attacking AND defending. you're expected to hit the byline and put crosses over and then somehow run back 70 yards to stop their midfielder who may already have a 30-yard headstart on you.
and we have to remember that hucks is not a defensively-minded player. if worthy wanted to play that kind of player on the left then why has he played hucks there for more than a year?
