I must say I "expected" Deano to leave if any Premiership clubs offer 8 million plus to us, also I think the club should accept the offer too, also Deano would decide to play in the Premiership again, scoring many goals and push himself to the World Cup squad for England at the end of this season.
but how can the big striker, who gave us hope in last season's survival, scored the goal against MU and made the other one, he possibly put himself off the chance to involve in the England World Cup squad by signing a Premiership club, also put himself off to earn 30k weekly wages plus in next 10 months at least, by signing the 1 year extention for Norwich City Footbal Club until June 2009!
I always mentioned, the word "loyalty" worthed ZERO in today's football, especially for young players, but Dean Ashton, 21, had proven me wrong today! Hay admit it he can easily sign for any Premiership clubs and become first team regulars, scoring many goals for them!
So after "Top of the league at Portman Road", I am smiling in the tolilet again after watched this news in the office, and cannot hide my delight! Hat offs to the BIG MAN! You will be our new Iwan Roberts, the LIVING GOAL SCORING LEGEND!!! I never rated a striker but I must change it today...
Looking forward to meet Deano in October...;-)
