I think in that case

He had that really good 2 or 3 months and built up such a big lead in the voting that when he became as s**t as everyone else they couldn't catch him. And also that season 3 of the others who might have won it - Safri, Ashton and then Earnshaw didn't play that many games. And I'll get slaughtered for it, but it doesn't matter how few matches you go to, you still get a vote. No doubt there's money to be made from getting tens of thousands of votes, but I reckon for an informed decision the club should poll the away season ticket holders and no-one else.
