someone's come in and taken less time than a rat going up a drain to sus that Doherty is mince. A young Irish lad of my acquaintance told me he couldn't believe that he was still getting a game for anybody and that was 3 years ago!
I'm sorry that Hoolahan looks like he's going, especially as it's Lambert that gave him his forst break in British football at Livingston. I reckon that the key to the whole thing is in Lambert's interview yesterday which was all about shape and balance and I think he'd rather take the money than try to coach the squad to work round what Hoolahan does best which is play in a free role in "the hole" behind the front players.
Maric? Just don't know. He scored goals in pre season, but my feeling is that he's not adapting to the British game in the way that Askou is. But then Askou's English is very good and being Danish he can make the adjustment more easily. Maric apparently has little or no English.
I reckon that Lambert really does look and sound like a manager - not sure why he's so keen on Curo but he's probably seen something to work with, and reports are they he had a reasonable game yesterday.
Lots of rumours of Doherty's impending departure but not heard where. If it's in this division, a pound says he scores against us, but what the hell, he's still mince. Hope Hoolahan doesn't go anywhere in this division - he has admirers at Huddersfield and Leeds.
