If your PC is 3-4 years old, a clean format and reinstalling windows will do wonders.

Windows gets clogged up with unnecessary files and registry keys over time, which 'cleaners' don't always get rid of.

Bit of a pain in the arse though, I've just done it and it's taken a few days to get everything back working.
