I was once invited to a rather odd but very swanky and exclusive cocktail do.

It wasn't black tie, or even white tie, but *brown* tie.

The closest I could manage was a sort of faun colour, but I thought I'd be able to blag my way in regardless.

Uhuh - I was literally faking with beige.
