Agreed, my brother was on the books at NCFC as Ghoulie same time as me,

he was kept on a bit longer than me as he was younger. To be fair he was probably one of the best keepers I'd ever seen at his age around Norfolk, and I hate the little c**t. He was brave compared to the others, straight out at the forwards' feet and had the ball off them before they had a chance to think. Absolutely no fear at all. He got released at 15 because he was too short at 5'8". The next year he had a growth spurt and went up to 6'4".

He quit football the day he left NCFC and never kicked a ball ever since. He was another of the victims of NCFC at that time. If you didn't play for the right teams (Catton, Lakeford, Sprowston) then you didn't fit into NCFC. He was by far the best ghoulie at his age in the city and probably should have been given a better shot.
