Morning, My match rating yesterday

Alnwick 6, do nothing wrong but nothing brilliant, I don't mind if he goes back to Spurs after 2 months later, maybe give Delcan a chance on the first team.

Otsemobor 5, lost his pace to run at full-backs and totally disappeared or go to have a drink on thd 2nd and 3rd goal we conceded. I know he was always going overlapping but for a full-back, still the first job is defending.

Spillane 6, love to see him play, compare with Shackell he was not really organized the whole defence, but did his job quietly good, not a very dirty center half, lack of shirt pulling or pushing the opponent, I believe he will learn more after played 10 more League One fixture. For the sending off, I see it as shoulder-to-shoulder charge, but becasue the striker got badly injured so that's why the referee feel symapthy to send him off. Not a red card. Surely he was the first choice center half this season and Askou or Nelson will battle the second spot.

Doherty 3, I think Lambert want to play him yesterday was because he want to use this game to tell every Norwich fans, the Doh had played his last game for Norwich City. I can't believe the way he fall down against Jones in the first goal, in the past he should pull his shirt and let the striker down but seems he lost his athleticism to do it! Can't see he played for the first team for us again, of course he will lose his captain armband to Grant Holt.

Lappin 7, good long range shot although never going to score with Gordon on the line, the free kick in the first half was good, also don't forget his great cross after we were 1-3 down but just for Martin to take the eyes off it. I would say he was as good as Grant Holt yesterday.

Whaley 4, shocking, the second goal we conceded was from his mis-pass in center circle, we were building up an attack but how come he pass the ball to the Sunderland player, with zero pressure? Need a pair of glasses Simon? The chance he had to score, honestly when I saw at home in front of my PC, after he made the run I say, he need to chip the keeper to score, but instead he side foot it and liked Lappin shot, can only score if Gordon, suddenly disappeared on the pitch for two seconds! Did nothing on defending.

Tudur-Jones 3, scored a spectacular OG and again did nothing in midfield, I understood the opposition was Premiership side, it's hard to control in midfield, but for a more expensive player than Adeyemi, he should do a bit more tackling or fouling, as he really did only one or two times on that. Wales international? HAHAHA!

Adeyemi 4, same as Tudor Jones but why he had 4 points was because he was from our academy, good lesson for him.

Hoolahan 5, please let Swansea have him, we did not need a so called creative player who hit the corner, but not even delivered to the 6 yards box, in second half his corner was hitting liked a goal kick, to the other side of box! Well he had some dribbling run, but the ball was just too close to the defender, I think it was so easy for the defender to get the ball and the man, both together. The volley he shoot in the first half, again was never going to score if Gordon was disappeared. The goal he scored, I had to admire the way he kept himself onside. With Holt in the side, we did not need a player who play in the "hole". Sold him and get some decent money back.

Holt 7, Remind me Iwan Roberts and I should say he was our never Iwan, good workrate, good link up play, defend well when we conceded corner. My man of the match even off from 60 minutes because he did not do anything wrong.

Daley 6, work hard liked Iwan, no, Grant Holt, show a bit of pace in the first half, I would say he should play on the wing if had chance.

sub:

Martin 5, should make proper contact on Lappin's cross, give him some time and he will be good

McDonald 7, should have 6 but because his performance at goalie make it 7. Well liked Ian Drake said he was really not bad on the goalie, mind you he made 2 catches and reacted well on Carlos Edwards thunderbolt, always lightening quick but I still think he would be playing much well in a substitite. I am surely after his special hair cut and his goalie performance on tv, he will start to get some attention of the press in the future. Still, he was the "goalkeeper" who kept a clean sheet for us this season so far, oh mine! ;-)

Smith 5, first touch was good and his second half was playing a 'suicide" ball to the Sunderland player, but liked him because he was from our academy.

Five players from the academy who played in the Norwich game, when is the last one? Good move for Lambert for sure.
