Go to the Tourist office opposite the Corn Exchange

they do walking tours from there. Kings and St John's are probably musts; can't really beat a punt (Get one where you're punted rather than diy as then you'll get a mini lesson too) to find out about the colleges and get the best view of them.
Make sure to go down Free School Lane so that she can see where DNA was discovered.
That's my basic intro for beginners! Every college tells a story - so avoid the shops and get yourself round them.
