Firstly - dropping the doc - HURRAH!
Secondly - Still dodgy at the back!
Thirdly - Korey Smith = Wilson Palacios
Here we go:
Alnwick - 6 - Couldn't do too much about the goals but doesn't really convince me
Otsemebor - 7 - Marked improvment on his performances I saw last season but wasn't tested much
Spillane - 7 - Looked much better at CB than at RB. Solid.
Askou - 6 - Bit dodgy I thought - great head for the goal though. Still rather him than Doc.
Drury - 7 - Very good - didn't do much wrong but apparently.
Mcveigh - 8 - Great touch, always looked busy and a threat. Loved seeing him back in a City shirt as well - he loved the attention to.
Smith - 8 - His first half performance in this game was one of the best CM performances I've seen for years - it was like having Wilson Palacios in the tema
Hughes - 6 - Decent first half but was struggling in the second - when Lambert took him off I was delighted as I thought he really did know what he was doing
Lappin - 9 - Great 90min display - didn't put a foot wrong and looked real class at this level . Gave us great balance and took a nice FK which their keeper had to make a decent save from. MOTM
Holt - 8 - This is the striker we have been crying out for years, not sure Holt is above this level but at this level he is a class hardworking act. Lovely cool finish for his second.
Cureton - 8 - Thought he had an excellent game, made a lot more intelligent running than Cody has been offering and deserved a goal
Subs (YAY - I can actually judge our subs as they had time to make an impact!):
Adeyami - 7 - Best I've seen him from him so far - was good to see our CM with 2 decent looking youth products.
McDonald - 6 - Did OK - think he needs to improve his decision making though
