Personally I think no; he had his purple patch at Colchester and for the whole of last season he always flattered to deceive. I think there's one thing about having a bad spell when you're twenty, but surely the point of having Cureton on our books is as a proven striker, and he's not done much to prove that recently. But I could be proved wrong. Cody looks to me like a talent that needs some decent coaching - you know that he can score at a lower level, his pace is terrifying, but he has that last-moment panic on the ball. Now the first goal he scored for the club showed total confidence - I worry that we've coached that out of him in trying to refine him, whereas perhaps we should have tried to enhance the natural.

But what do I know?
