its a bit pointless in a way

he's saying that Delia and MWJ should step down from the Board because they shouldn't be involved in footballing decisions. This is is fair enough, but surely Friday's events are a demonstration that that is already the case. Delia and MWJ happily appointed Gunn twice so I wouldn't have expected them to change their mind about him so quickly. I'm pretty sure the three new directors have said "We want him gone and you appointed us to make these decisions so you are going to go along with it", hence the 'unanimous' decision.
