Just back from Exeter

We were rubbish as were Exeter.

yesterday really brought it home how far we have sunk, firstly the rubbish stadia, secondly the god awful football and thirdly watching the Football League highlights at the gulf between us and any of the Championship games.

Butterworth looked like a man who knows he is on the way out, did nothing on the sidelines and made 3 of the most bemusing substitutions in the history of football. Hoolahan, Adeymi and Holt were our 3 best players. Hooly the best on the pitch and taking them off meant a draw was a good result!

Wahley can go back to Preston, he offered nothing on or off the ball, rather than overlapping for Spillane or cody when going forward he ran alongside or just stopped, yes he hit the bar (looked like the keeper tipped it onto the bar from behind the goal) but either side of the keeper and it would have been in.

Drury, I am a big fan but I'm afraid you need dropping possibly permanently.

The defence other than Drury looked ok the midfield was the really bad area of our team. Gill and Wahley offered nothing at all, there was no movement on or off the ball and very poor passing with no bite.

I think the first sliding tackle that made you think we were at a competitive match came in the 75th minute by Askou (who looked decent), beyond that we wandered round like it was a reserve/friendly game.

I wish the players would put half the bloody effort the 1050 Norwich fans put in by going!

Things need to be stabilised fast or else survival will become a goal!
