Random thoughts after todays game

Well, half a game due to appaling traffic on M5 and appaling staffing at Exeter where they didn't have a clue what they were doing, meaning I got into ground 5 mins before half time

1. Keeper looks good / confident - accuracy with kicking is great

2. I like Holt very much - big, strong, good foot control too

3. Drury is past it

4. We lacked creativity - if Wes doesn't supply then we're struggling

5. I got fed up of "hoof" either down to Holt or into the channels

6. McDonald seems to offer little other than hard work & commitment

7. The little chavs behind the goal in their Adidas Gazelle trainers, Fila / Lyle & Scott tops were an embarassment with them calling all & sundry "C_nts" all the time - there were kids around & OAP's - cringeworthy stuff. Oh, and by the way boys, your dads / big brothers over powering aftershave will not mask your body smells from not having had a shower this morning. My nostrils can testify to that.

8. I can only assume that we were very good in the first half as was amazed when back in the car that both the Radio Dorset & 5 Live commentators both said we were unlucky not to win.

9. Terracing is not as good as I nostalgically remembered. Hopefully Tuesday night when there will be a roof to help with atmosphere will help.

10. 1050 away fans ( there were more as stewards were taking ?'s off all the latecomers & lettingthem in) is a great away following.
