we'll never know if we would be 14th

It's an obvious question to say "would you prefer him sacked now or when 14th" but who is to say he was defintely going to be rubbish? Based on taking over a group of s**te players and staying in the same position the season before? Or the 1 game this season?

Anyway, it's done now, but it's not the kind of club I want to support that treats its legends like this.
