Let's be honest - Bryan Gunn probably couldn't believe his luck when he got the job -

he only got the job because we had a very weak and frightened Chief Executive and Chairman who wanted to get back in favour with "the fans". There's no way he would have got a manager's job in any other League Club. Of course, we had the village idiots saying that "we've got our Club back" (whateverthef**k that meant), but surely no-one believed that a man of Gunn's age and unspectacular career working for NCFC since he retired from playing would be able to make the grade. What Gunny got was a big rise in income and prestige, but what he's lost may be even more valuable.
