Dragons Den seems like a bad deal for anyone with a great idea.

Unless you are looking just for publicity.

I don't get why anyone with a fantastic idea would sign away a huge chunk of their company just for someone putting up relatively small amount of money?

Far better to approach bigger companies yourself and cut out the middle men who will do the same while getting a huge chunk of your company/idea.

If they are not interested then its probably not a great idea in the first place.

What is interesting is that people are looking to go into a partnership with a Dragon who is totally looking to lowball you on your company equity........
That's not the sort of person I want to partner with.

Probably the reason the vast majority of "ideas" on the show are total s**te or not commercially viable.

A guy with a good idea doesn't need these clowns.
I personally think the dragons total overblow their "contacts" and distribution channels.
I really don't think they bring much to the table except for a bit of money.
