Really it was pretty one-sided

We started the first half better than them, and finished it much stronger too. They had a 10 or 15 minute period when we had to defend quite hard but that was it. They unquestionably wanted to beat us, there were some very nasty tackles going in. I think a neutral would never have doubted a Norwich win - of course I was thinking "It's Norwich, it's the League Cup, somehow we will f**k up". But actually we didn't look like it.

It's interesting to think back to other away League Cup ties against similar or worse opposition, and I can't think of any when we've bossed the match like last night - mostly we've lost them of course. But even when we beat Torquay with people like Dickson and Leon in the side we were no way near as dominant.

So yes, it's one game, and a league cup game at that, but we should take encouragement from it.
